《牛津阅读树》是一套针对以英语为母语的学龄前及小学孩子培养阅读兴趣的寓教于乐的阅读教材，由牛津大学出版。在英国是家喻户晓的英语母语学习材料，在全球亦有一百多个国家用它作为外语学习教材。
牛津阅读树分级系列主干绘本主要是围绕三个孩子一个家庭展开。官网称为Biff,Chip&Kipper Stories。牛津阅读树系列就像一家人在给大家讲故事，这一家人就是贯穿整个系列书的主人公 Biff, Chip, Kipper, Mum, 和 Dad，同时也不能忘记他们的那条可爱的小狗 Floppy。介绍他们生活活动的方方面面：去游泳、去沙滩、堆雪人、小朋友一起玩各种游戏等等。当然，中间还引入了另一个黑人家庭和其他一些人物，但这三个孩子贯穿始终。
牛津阅读树oxford reading tree主干绘本1-9级分成2个部分，2部分不是按照级别分的，是按学习的侧重点来分的。
第一部分为Biff,Chip&Kipper Stories1-9级。一本一个故事，语言方面也是日常用的基本词汇和句型。
第二部分为Biff,Chip&Kipper Decode&Develop这部分就是有侧重地引入Phonics，让孩子们边读故事边潜移默化地学习Phonics规律，为自主阅读做准备。
